The smallest of the Hesperian city-states, Tarren Mill was located on the border with the Kingdom of Alterac. It was not run by nobility, but by a mayor. One of the city's founders, Tarren himself, summoned four elementals to protect the city-state's independence from Dalaran. These four became known as the Tarren Elementals.
At the time of the Great War, the mayor was Philip Juntridge. Although Juntridge joined the Hesperian Alliance, he was an agent for the Chancellors. Eventually, he was assassinated by Ravenholdt.
General Mikhail Gabranth also led an attack on Tarren Mill, but it was repulsed by Franek Snowburn, Sister Isis and reinforcements from the Eastern Legion.
