Born and raised as a man of Henlinn, Korrin worked on the docks throughout his younger years. Like his parents before him, he was a devotee of Mnesthes, his family having originally come from Kul Tiras. One day, Korrin found an unconscious man in an alley, bleeding to death. Korrin quickly took the man into his home and nursed him back to health. The man admitted that he had been injured after a failed assassination attempt, and that he was an agent of Mnesthes. Korrin was glad to reveal that he was also a Viridian. This led to the grateful man offering Korrin an offer that he simply could not refuse.
The job offer was to join the man's organization, the Malachite Hand. The man revealed himself to be none other than Louis Oudinot.
Korrin got trapped in the Shadow Realm along with Oudinot, fellow Malachites and the Anti-Heretic League. He eventually made his way into the Core. While accessing the Consensus, the hub of memories and information in the Core, Korrin became overwhelmed by information and fell into a coma.
